Nothing feels like more of a blank slate then those few moments post ball drop.
As you hear the people around you count down the seconds, you can almost physically feel a weight lifted off of your shoulders. Symbolically, the new year brings a chance for you to start over. Sure, in reality it just means that you need a new calendar and to remember what year it is when you write out the date, but it’s a fresh start if you want it to be. People start off the year with resolutions and ideas of who or what they want to be in the new year.
My plan is to put up four resolutions and let you guys hold me accountable to them this year.
1. I want to eat and be healthier. I always say it but I never do it.
2. I want to finish my novel this year. It was at a standstill throughout my final semester at school but now’s the time.
3. I want to read at least 1 book a month. I love to read but I never make time for it.
4. Weekly posts on here. I always let it slip even though I love writing on here.
What are your resolutions? Who will be there to hold you accountable?
